CuraTech Medical

Innovating Medical Devices for Critical Care

Founded in December 2006 by Dr. Jonathan Mercer, Dr. Emily Stanton, and Dr. Victor Lang, CuraTech Medical was established with a clear mission: to design, develop, and manufacture advanced medical devices that address pressing healthcare challenges worldwide. Our company combines scientific innovation with precision engineering to deliver life-saving solutions for patients and healthcare providers.

At the crossroads of technology and biology, we believe every molecule tells a story. Our mission is to transform those invisible signals into meaningful insights  empowering researchers, clinicians, and innovators to advance human health. Through precision, passion, and performance, we bring clarity to complexity and innovation to every experiment

Medical is a medical device manufacturer founded to design, develop, and subsequently manufacture a range of medical products in response to clinical needs.  CuraTech Medical’s current primary objective is to develop and commercialize the Angel™ Catheter as the de facto standard of care device for the prevention of Pulmonary Embolism related mortality and morbidity in critically ill patients worldwide.  This proven team of technical staff is supported by management and advisors who have worked together for 10 years and have extensive experience in: medical device development, product commercialization, and patent portfolio creation.

Our vision is to make high-quality scientific innovation accessible to every laboratory, everywhere. By bridging advanced biotechnology with practical laboratory needs, we aim to inspire a new generation of research, discovery, and diagnostics  where data is accurate, science is sustainable, and innovation is limitless.

 Technology & Advantages

The Angel™ Catheter system merges two essential ICU functions  central venous access and clot filtration  into one device.

It enables infusion of medications, blood sampling, and central venous pressure monitoring while capturing venous thromboembolic clots in the inferior vena cava.

✔ Dual-purpose IVC filter & catheter

✔ Retrievable, temporary protection

✔ No patient transfer required

✔ Reduces PE-related mortality and anticoagulation risks

✔ Reliable performance and FDA-cleared design

 🌍 Clinical Impact & Contact

Engineered to protect high-risk ICU patients from pulmonary embolism when anticoagulation therapy is unsafe.

The Angel™ Catheter improves outcomes for trauma, post-surgical, bleeding-risk, and neurological patients, offering a safe and effective VTE prophylaxis solution.

Join hospitals and researchers adopting this life-saving technology to enhance critical care standards worldwide.

The Angel™ Catheter is a multi-lumen central venous access catheter permanently attached to a retrievable IVC filter. It is specifically engineered for critically ill patients who are at increased risk of pulmonary embolism but for whom anticoagulation therapy is temporarily contraindicated due to active bleeding, trauma, or recent surgery.

By combining venous access and clot filtration into one device, the Angel™ Catheter simplifies patient management, reduces the need for separate invasive procedures, and provides continuous PE prophylaxis during the critical phase of illness.
